Victoria Fairfax Interiors worked with Edinburgh based architects Hugh Martin & Partners to create Skibo Castle’s magnificent pool and spa facilities. The pool was originally built by Andrew Carnegie with a view of the loch, raised to give the illusion of swimming in the loch, a novel idea at the time. The style of the structure was retained together with important features such as the carved stone piers, to which the new floor was matched. The complex includes changing rooms, a sauna and the refurbishment of the original ‘jet-shower’. John Cullen Lighting were appointed to provide the lighting design scheme.
